Shocking - Truth

I had a most memorable experience this past weekend, one that brought up a lot of fantasy, yet was grounded in reality. I wasn't sure how I wanted to describe this. If I wanted to tell you the plain truth of what we did, or spin it into an elaborate fantasy for a little more spice. In the end I decided to do both. This is the truth. Hopefully I'll post the fantasy soon...
My husband and I are on a sexual adventure. We've decided we want to spice up our relationship and are looking for how exactly we want to accomplish that. Some of those options including opening up our relationship to a third or fourth person and possibly exploring some elements of BDSM. So far our adventure has gone slow, but we've learned TONS about each other and our likes and dislikes.
During this adventure we had the wonderful opportunity to meet a triad family who were also involved in BDSM. We had dinner with them, then got a chance to talk about various elements of the Poly lifestyle as well as BDSM interests.
Because I'd previously asked about the violet wand, they were kind enough to bring out the large case and show me what it looked like. It was all very neatly arranged in a large black case filled with foam compartments for all the delicate implements. They explained the differences between older wands with cores that easily overheated compared to this newer model with a ceramic core.
I was very curious about what it felt like, but our visit was very much just a social one and not a BDSM play scene. So they activated the wand and let me test various implements at different settings on our hands and arms so we could see what they felt like.
The first item we tried was a large ball, rather like an overblown light bulb. Like the picture above, it arced from the center of the ball to the class. When you moved your fingers close to it, tiny arcs of electricity jumped from the ball to the tips of your fingers. I've seen displays like this in science museums before, so was prepared for the reaction and feeling of it. Depending on the setting of the want the energy was barely noticeable to slightly tingly. Because the electricity was spread all over the large surface of the ball it wasn't very focused.
We went through several implements such as a glass rake, small oval and other odd shaped glass accessories. Each produced a different sensation depending on how fine of a point of contact it came too (the finer, the more intense).
Eventually they switched to an entirely different accessory that opened up a whole new world of fun! This was a beaded chain that attached to the wand and went to a grounding rod that was worn against the users skin. When the want was activated it made the users entire body the implement for the electrical contact!
One of the strangest feelings was caused by the use of what looked like a New Years Eve party favor. It was a simple tube with metallic pom pom strips coming out of it. When held the strips became a forest of electrical arcs. Running your hand through it you felt the nips and zaps as the electricity arced into you. It was far more random and sensual than any of the other experiments had been.
The most intense (physically) was without a doubt the very tiny little metal knife. When brought near the skin (but not touching) the tiny tip of the knife produced the most intense arc of energy as it bit into my skin. Used properly with a high enough setting I could easily understand how this could create temporary branding marks on the skin.
However, the last item we tried actually sparked as many mental pictures as physical sensations. The user of the wand wore metal tips on each of their fingers, resembling claws. When brought near the skin electricity arced from the tips and bit into my arm. The feeling was intense, almost as much as the knife, but the mental picture was amazing! Here was the fictional witches hand using dark magic to torture their victims without ever having to touch them. Violet blue magic, conjured from this black wand, focused through arcane gestures and sent into me! It was a fantasy I was barely aware of brought to full life!
Wow! The whole experience was amazing! I tried several different settings on the wand, but don't know exactly how powerful it was ever truly set to. I like to think I was enduring it on the maximum setting, but somehow think I never got close to that. Also all the tests were on my hand and arm, I imagine even the slightest sensations would feel FAR different on nipples or penis!
Unfortunately the violet wand is a VERY expensive little toy. And from what I've since read it's an extreme form of BDSM. Which I find surprising since I was so attracted to the sensations it produced, but totally turned off by the concept of spanking or many other forms of torture.
We did get to try some extremely light flogging, and despite the GIANT size of the floggers used, it was a VERY relaxing and comfortable experience (clothes on). I'd be open to giving/receiving this with my husband sometime in the future...
Later that evening I started to notice a stinging on my arm where the wand had been used. Small red dots appeared, very much like a sunburn but splotchy. It felt slightly stingy, but not bad. In less than 24 hours I didn't feel anything out of the ordinary where the spots were. And in 48 hours the spots themselves were faded to the point where you'd need to squint to even detect they were ever there.
In contrast, I worked outside all day this weekend without a shirt or sunscreen and ended up with a sunburn. DAMN!!! I'll take the violet wand any day over this stupid sunburn! It hurts to move my neck, wear a shirt, sleep, pretty much ANYTHING!
All in all, we had a very enjoyable evening meeting these folks. They were not the monster BDSM love-in, strange people some might think when hearing about a poly-BDSM family. They were incredibly NORMAL people with NORMAL interests (ok... maybe some kinky interests too!) who just HAPPEN to have a coffee table that converts into a living room bondage rack! Too bad our living room is too small to support such a thing...
Peace and Long Life,
PaunFarr
